Henry Co. 911 Provides Back-Up Info Until Services Fully Restored

img-2048

Paris, Tenn.–As of December 28, 2020 at 2:30 pm, services provided by AT&T are still affected in our surrounding area.
Henry Co. 911 Director Mark Archer said, “As many of you are aware, this is due to the explosion that occurred on Christmas morning in downtown Nashville.   Many in our area that have AT&T mobility (AT&T cell phone users), AT&T internet, or AT&T landline phone services have experienced on and off outages since the explosion.  We have not had any reported issues as of today in Henry County but this can change quickly.  As AT&T works to restore service, the outages are sporadic as they attempt to bring their systems back online.
Archer said, “We are monitoring the situation and how it is affecting our citizen’s ability to dial 9-1-1.  We are testing the ability to place 9-1-1 calls from phones where the service is provided by AT&T.  At this time AT&T has not given use a timeframe as too when services will be fully restored.  If you are an AT&T customer and you have an emergency but are unable to get through by dialing 9-1-1, you may try to call an alternate number of 731-642-2424 ext: 2 to reach the 9-1-1 operators.  Please have a backup plan on how you would call for help if your phone is not able to call 911.”
