Obion County, Tenn.–There were only minor injuries from a motor vehicle accident and rollover involving an Obion Fire Department tanker Tuesday morning.
At 11 am, the Obion Fire Department was dispatched as mutual aid to assist the Samburg Fire Department with a commercial fire. At approximately 11:09 am Tanker 1 (8171) was involved in a single vehicle accident with rollover.
Both occupants sustained minor injury and went via ambulance to the hospital to be checked out and later released.
Fire Department officials said, “We want to thank all who responded to help and all who called and checked in. We train in vehicle operation and emergency response but accidents happen, we are just glad everyone gets to go home. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.”
