
Paris, Tenn.—Seven business licenses were issued in November by the city of Paris. City Finance Director Traci Shannon reported on the business licenses during Thursday’s City Commission meeting.
New business licenses were issued to La Tour Salon, The Shop on Wood Street, Wild Willow Boutique. A license to new owner and location was issued to Sally Lane’s Candy Farm. License for new owner was issued to Take Me Back Restaurant and a name change was approved for New Cingular Wireless. An additional location was approved for Wicked Kolors (contractor from Clarksville).
Shannon reported retail sales tax revenue was up for the seventh month in a row. The month of October reflected “an unbelievable 14.75 percent increase. We are now ahead 10.88 percent for the fiscal year-to-date”, she said.
General fund revenues were ahead of expenditures for the month of November and property tax revenue is rolling in and sales tax revenue continues to rise.
