
Paris, Tenn.–The River Conference Middle School tournament will get underway on Saturday afternoon at Gamlin gymnasium on the campus of Henry County High School. The Harrelson Hawks were eliminated by Houston Co. 36 to 31 while the Camden Lions defeated Stewart Co.
WLZK 94.1 FM will be airing the two championship games starting at 1:30 with Lakewood girls taking on Stewart County. Camden boys and Houston County boys will play in the championship following the girl’s contest. All Conference and all tournament players will be announced following the contests as well.
Restrictions will be enforced according to Middle School Athletic Director Renae Lassiter. “Attendance is limited to players’ parents and immediate households. This includes grandparents. All schools are submitting a list. Those on the list will be able to purchase a ticket at the door. If someone is not on the list, he/she will not be able to buy a ticket. No tickets will be sold to the general public.”
