
Dyersburg, Tenn.–Two Dyersburg police officers were injured during an arrest early this morning.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m., following a report of a suspicious person at Hicks Trailer Park, Dyersburg.
Officers responded to a report of a man walking around the trailer park beating on the side of a travel trailer. Officers arrived and identified the man as Ricky Webb, age 47, Dyersburg.
According to the press release, Webb became combative with the officers and refused to comply with their commands and assumed a fighting stance. Webb was tased multiple times which was not effective. Webb continued to resist officers attempt to restrain him causing injuries to both officers and Webb.
Once Webb was secured, EMS was called for Webb’s injuries. He refused treatment and was transported to jail pending Dyersburg City Court action. Webb is charged with assault on a police officer, vandalism over $1,000, and resisting stop frisk halt.
Both officers were treated and released from West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg.
