
Nashville, Tenn.–Four drowning victims are now being reported by the Metro Police Department in hard-hit Nashville. Seven inches of rain fell in Nashville this weekend, causing widespread flooding. Some 130 people have been rescued from homes, apartment buildings and their cars throughout the Nashville area.
At 5 a.m., the MNPD Urban Search & Rescue officers recovered a deceased man from his Honda sedan that was submerged by flooding from the creek next to the Wal-Mart at Harding Place & Nolensville Park, according to Metro Nashville officials.
A second presumed flooding victim was found deceased at 7:30 a.m. on the Nashboro Village golf course later this morning. It is believed that he was swept away by high water after getting out of a car that ran off the road into a culvert at Nashboro Blvd. & Flintlock Court.
At 9:30 a.m., two additional flooding victims, one male, one female, were found deceased near a homeless camp in a wooded area adjacent to Wentworth-Caldwell Park on Edmondson Pike just off Nolensville Pike. Flooding from Seven Mile Creek impacted the area.
