Paris, Tenn.–Three corrections officers with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office were presented with life saving awards after their actions saved the life of an inmate who suffered a major cardiac event in the jail.
Sgt. Adam Kennon, Cpl. Charles Jacques and Deputy James Carroll were presented Life Saving Medals at a recent ceremony at the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff Josh Frey said the three officers were on duty when an inmate suffered the medical emergency and was unresponsive. Frey said, “When these officers arrived, they began to administer life saving measures of CPR and also used an Automated External Defibrillator. Due to the officers’ quick response to the situation, the inmate was revived prior to EMS arriving on the scene.”
