Paris, Tenn.–A long line waits for fresh produce from Tyler Smith of Future Vision Farms at Friday’s opening of the Henry County Farmers Market for the season. A large crowd and lots of goodies–including freebies from the Henry County Extension Office and the County Health Department–were on hand for the opening, which included a ribbon-cutting hosted by the Paris-Henry County Chamber. The Farmers Market is located in the pavilion at the county fairgrounds. Over a dozen vendors were selling a variety of goods, including fresh produce, jams and jellies, essential oils, plants, crafts, and more. The Fair Board provided fruit, veggies and cookies for everyone. The Farmers Market will be open this year from 2-4:30 p.m. every Friday at the pavilion. The Farmers Market will run from May 28-August 13 this year. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
