
Paris, Tenn.–Champion Professional Bull Rider Cody Nance of Paris will be competing in his home county this weekend and it will be a three-day party.
Cody Nance’s PBR in Paris will be held Friday and Saturday, July 2-3, at the Henry County Fairgrounds, with a kick-off party and free concert Thursday at Blues Landing. Main sponsor for the PBR event is Allegro’s of Paris.
There will be plenty of activities surrounding the main event, with a mechanical bull set up under the pavilion on Friday and a cornhole tournament on Saturday. Over 25 vendors will be set up in the commercial building and several food trucks will be on site. Right after the bull-riding on Saturday, there will be fireworks and a free concert.
The following is the schedule for the events:
Thursday: There will be a kick-off party at Blues Landing sponsored by Total Tech Solutions. This is open to the public. Johnny Mac and band will be playing live music starting at 7 pm.
Friday: Doors open for the event at 4 pm, and the event starts at 7 pm. Hospitality will be providing food and drink sponsored by Volunteer Distributing in Dresden. A mechanical bull sponsored by The Inspector LLC will be under the pavilion. There will be an after party sponsored by Total Tech Solutions at Aces Pizza. This is a private, invite-only party that will be catered as a thank you for our sponsors and riders.
Saturday: Doors open at 1 pm, and the event starts at 6 pm. Hospitality will be providing food and drink sponsored by Volunteer Distributing in Dresden, TN. There will be a cornhole tournament provided by O‘Neal Trailers in which our sponsors will get the opportunity to match with a bull rider or bull fighter to find out who has the best corn bag tossing skills.
The Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce will be organizing this tournament and holding a silent auction with donated items from Cody Nance and other bull riders . Mockingbird Catering will be providing food and drink for the sponsors at O’Neal’s Corn Hole Tournament.
Froggy will also be at the Corn Hole Tournament to promote the event.
Immediately after the bull riding, there will be free fireworks and a concert featuring Hunter Jordan sponsored by ServPro. DJ Pookie from Slide-N-Ride and Luke Kaufman — official PBR announcer — will be keeping the audience informed and entertained as the official sound and music directors of the event. Dave “Showtime” Meyer and his friend Jacob will keep you laughing as the entertainer.

VIP seating and general admission parking is south of the arena, and the Henry Co. Sheriff’s wives will be directing traffic. If you’re part of hospitality, then you will enter from the north side, and you will check in on the list that is with the Chamber of Commerce. You will be able to exit and reenter with a stamp, but it will be monitored by the Henry Co Sheriff’s deputies. Hospitality will be wearing lanyards. VIP will have wristbands.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the door until all have been sold.
Bleachers have been added to the venue in order to seat 3,000 people a night. In the event of rain, the event will continue as scheduled.
Refunds will only be given if the event has to be cancelled due to severe weather.
There will be more than 25 vendors set up inside the commercial building.
