Cottage Grove, Tenn.–Cuteness was on parade to kick off the 46th Cottage Grove Freedom Festival Monday as Bobby and Donna Milam took their grandbabies through the parade route. After missing last year due to COVID, everyone in Cottage Grove was in the mood for a parade and festival. Today’s activities will go on all day, with cake walk, lawn mower drag races, tug-of-war between the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Cottage Grove Fire Department, hay rides, Cardinal Park Jail, Firehouse International Kitchen, karaoke contest, bingo, live music and fireworks. Winners of the parade were: Best Float Fresh Market; Best of Parade, G3D Farms; and Most Patriotic Lily Cloar. (Shannon McFarlin photos).
