Henry, Tenn.–The Henry Volunteer Fire Department–along with the Mansfield and Paris firefighters–had to battle the extreme heat and humidity as well as fighting the fire that destroyed a shop building Saturday afternoon.

The Mansfield Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary helped firefighters cope with the heat while on site of the fire.

Henry Firefighters were dispatched to 3295 Henry-Mansfield Rd. around 3:43 p.m. on a report of a structure fire. Fire officials said they responded to find the structure fully involved.

Henry Fire officials said in a Facebook post, “Mansfield Fire also responded to the scene and played a vital part in preventing this fire from spreading to the structure next door. Also a huge shout out to Paris Fire, our 911 Center, Henry County EMS, Henry County Sheriffs Office, BPU and West Tennessee Natural Gas for their assistance.”

No injuries were reported and the nearby home was damaged, but can be repaired.

Henry fire officials thanked the Ladies Auxiliary for their help.
