Cottage Grove, Tenn.–A cotton picker is a total loss after an early morning fire in Cottage Grove.
The Cottage Grove Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Jones Bend Road at 2:30 a.m. on a report of a cotton picker on fire.
Units arrived to find a fully-involved cotton picker in the field and the fire starting to spread through the cotton field.
Firefighters quickly went to work trying to extinguish the flames and were on the scene roughly two hours.
No injuries were reported. Six units and 16 firefighters responded to the scene.
