Dover, Tenn.-Stewart County Schools are canceled for tomorrow, Thursday, January 6.
According to a Facebook post, school officials said they decided to cancel based on the forecast for wintry weather tomorrow and “to ensure the safety of stuents”. They said they were making the decision tonight in order to make it easier on parents to make plans.
According to officials, the forecast calls for the storm to begin “right as we pick up students” on the buses and they did not want to cancel school in mid-route or try to return students to their homes in deteriorating conditions.
