hh-mike

Paris, Tenn.–With $6,349 raised by Henry County’s educators today, the grand total raised for the Helping Hand Radio Auction so far is now $65,132.

Eighteen slates of donations were on the auction block for Educator’s Day. Ray Compton was auctioneer for the day. Items donated ran the gamut of casseroles, tamales, soups, Key Lime pies and other baked goods, plus handcrafted items and one sentimental donation–a Titans garden flag donated in memory of the late Todd Latta by his family. The Latta donation raised $500.

On Monday, items will be donated by Quinn Chapel, St. John’s-CDS, HCHS Madrigals, and Inman Beta Club.

The annual auction started on Monday and will continue through March 2, raising funds for over 80 local non-profit and service organizations.

Photos of items that are donated each day are posted on the “Henry County Helping Hand” Facebook page. Anyone who wants to bid on any item can describe the item or give the number of the item as posted on the Facebook page.

The auction is broadcast daily over WTPR 101.7 FM and 710 AM at 12:30 p.m. You can also listen on our website at www.radionwtn.com, where it is live streamed.

Auction phone is 644-1695 and office phone is 644-1833. If you experience a problem with 644-1695 when you’re trying to bid, you can call 644-1696 or 644-1697.
