Registration Open For Office On Aging Trip To Edmund Pettus Bridge

Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Office on Aging is getting ready to head out on the road again.

A group with the Office on Aging will be traveling to Selma, Alabama to cross the Edmund Pettus Bridge and visit other attractions in the area.

Office on Aging Director Reggie Caldwell said, “This is once in a lifetime experience and will be a part of African American History Month.”

The trip is planned for Friday, February 18, 2022, and returning on Saturday, February 19, 2022. At least 40 people are needed for the trip.

Caldwell said, “We will be staying in Selma, Alabama on that Friday evening. We will be leaving around 5 AM on that Friday. We will stop along the way for breakfast and lunch. Once we arrive in Selma, we will be on a 25-pointed tour of Selma, Alabama.”

Cost of this event will be $130 per person. This would include transportation, guide tour of Selma, one night hotel stay in Selma, Alabama. If you want a single room, you will have to pay extra. You provide your own spending monies. Last day for final payment will be February 15, 2022.
