McKenzie, Tenn.–Following a land search involving Carroll County first responders, a missing 72-year-old woman was found and immediately airlifted to an area hospital.
The TBI earlier issued a Silver Alert for Brenda McDonald on behalf of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.
She had been last seen in Atwood and has a medical condition that may impair her ability to return safely without assistance.
According to the McKenzie Fire & Rescue, they were dispatched shortly after midnight Sunday to assist in a land search for her on Howse Church Road in Atwood. A totl of six firefighters from the McKenzie Fire Department also assisted.
Carroll County requested assistance from multiple units throughout the county. Ms. McDonald was located during the search and flown out by AirEvac early in the morning.
