Funeral services for Ruth Harrison Toombs are Friday, April 1, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 31, 2022 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Friday, 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery and Brother Dennis Trull will officiate.
Mrs. Toombs, 82 years old, died Monday, March 28, 2022, at her residence. She is a graduate of Henry Co. High School, a member of Liberty United Methodist Church, a retired cafeteria worker and co-owner/ worker of livestock with her husband, the late Jerry Toombs. She was born January 9, 1940, in Henry Co. to Ardie and Eller Ray Rayburn Harrison.
She is survived by her children Danny (Shelia) Toombs, Randy ( Reni) Toombs, Amy (Danny) Floyd and Karen Fowler all of McKenzie, her sisters Evelyn Gilliam, Faye Cook, Wanda(Barry) Travis, Catherine (Junior) Gibson and Janice Harrison, a brother Jerry Harrison of Clearwater, FL, nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of sixty one years Jerry Toombs.
