Paris, Tenn.–Anyone needing the Henry County warming shelter who has a pet is urged to drop their pet off at the Paris/Henry County Animal Shelter by 4:30 pm Thursday and they can pick up their pet up Tuesday. This is a free service.

This is only for pets whose owners are using the warming center. The animal shelter is located at 445 Recyling Drive in Paris.
As we reported Tuesday, Henry County Emergency Management is making preparations along with Paris Police Department, Henry County Sheriffs Dept, Paris Special School District and Paris First United Methodist Church to open a warming shelter at the WO Inman Middle School Tornado Shelter located at 400 Harrison St in Paris.
Henry County EMA will be providing cots and blankets to those needing a warm place to stay during the holiday weekend.
Henry County Sheriff Josh Frey and Paris Police Chief Rick Watson stated their respective agencies will be monitoring and making regular checks on the shelter through out the weekend. No animals will be allowed at the shelter.
The shelter will open at 4pm on Thursday December 22 and will close at noon on Monday December 26.
