Paris, Tenn.–A young mother and her son lost everything in a house fire early Friday morning on Old Union Road in Henry County.

Oakland Fire Chief James Martin told RadioNWTN that they were dispatched to the structure fire at 493 Old Union Rd. at 6:08 a.m. They arrived to find the home almost fully involved.

Resident Lauren Stamps and her son Zay were not injured, but lost everything. The home is owned by James Dunlap.

A Gofundme campaign has been started for Lauren and Zaylan at https://www.gofundme.com/f/lauren-stamps/donate

Martin said the structure was a total loss and the cause could not be determined due to the extensive damage of the structure.

Mutual aid was received from the Springville Fire Department and Paris Fire Department.

Firefighters were on the scene for some 4 1/2 hours and Oakland firefighters returned later in the day after the fire rekindled.
