Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Farmers Market will be returning to the County Fairgrounds this summer.

With improvements completed at the Farmers Market facility at the fairgounds, the Henry County Fair Association has announced it will be expanded, with a new name–Farmers Market and Vendor Fair–with the doors open to vendors of all kinds of items.

Jenny Walker said Robin and Franklin Brown have agreed to help this year with opening and closing of gates as the Association moves to restructure the Farmers Market.

Walker said, “The first big change is we are going to open our doors twice a week. Tuesdays from 9-11 and Fridays 3-5:30.  This will hopefully service more of our community.”

She noted that on this year’s calendar a couple of Fridays had to be skipped due to scheduling conflicts.

Here is the schedule:

May 9,12,16,19,23,26,30

June 2,6,13,16,20,23,27,30

July 4,11,14,18,25,28

August 1,4,8,11

(August 15 and 18 is apart of fair week)

Walker noted the doors are open to all kinds of vendors “in hopes of drawing more of the public to sell more products”, and said pricing has been adjusted to accomodate more people. “Since we are doubling the amount of days we are charging $5/ day you set up. We have also set up a discounted price of $100/ season if you plan on coming every day,” she said.
