Paris, Tenn.–The cause of Friday’s devastating fire that destroyed B&G Equipment has not yet been determined.
Paris Fire Marshal Greg Andrews told RadioNWTN Monday morning, “We’re still gathering information and putting the work into determining the cause. It’s a difficult deal because there were different structures within the whole structure and of course, the roof collapsing during the fire makes it even more difficult.”
All of the Paris Fire Department firefighters and equipment were on scene of the fire which started Friday afternoon, as was the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and EMS. No injuries were reported.
Andrews said fire investigators are continuing the work to figure out the cause of the blaze which destroyed the landmark business. B&G Equipment has been in business since 1978 and the company sells and services a large line of farm equipment, including Massey-Ferguson, Bush Hog, Agco and others. B&G Equipment is located at 2816 Hwy. 54 in Paris.
