Ms. Betty Sue Evans Austin, 78, of Indian Mound, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Horizon Medical Center, Dickson, Tennessee, with her family by her side.
She was born Tuesday, October 24, 1944, in Clarksville, Tennessee, the beloved daughter of the late Willie Everett and Charlene Evans. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her devoted husband: Harold Dean Austin; sons: Terry Lee Austin and Gregory Austin; grandson: Jacob Austin; and brothers: Charles Evans, Joe Evans, Jessie Evans, and William Evans.
She was the owner and operator of Austin Kleen Way for many years.
Betty loved to watch her birds, especially her cardinals and hummingbirds.
She was an avid Betty Boop Collector.
Betty was of the Baptist faith.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, mom-maw, aunt, sister, and true friend to everyone.
She is survived by her sons: Ronnie Dean Austin, of Woodlawn, Tennessee, Donnie Austin, and Darrell Austin, both of Indian Mound, Tennessee; grandsons: Terry Ray Austin, Mathew Austin, Isaac Austin, Jared Austin, Phillip Austin, and Hunter Robertson; granddaughters: Amanda Austin and Aleshia Austin; five great-grandchildren; sister: Marie Dunn, of Madesto, California; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be held at Austin Cemetery, Indian Mound, Tennessee, at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Joe Shannon officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
