Union City, Tenn.–The second of the two Henry County inmates who escaped from jail is now in custody.
At 3:20 p.m., Henry County Sheriff Josh Frey told RadioNWTN that Ronnie Sharp was arrested ‘”15 minutes ago” in Union City.
Frey said Sharp was arrested by the US Marshals Service, Union City Police and Obion County Sheriff’s Office. “They were following up on tips and he was arrested after a foot chase,” Frey said.
Sharp was in jail on numerous pending charges that include kidnapping, aggravated assault, assault on an officer, evading arrest, theft of property and burglary. Sharp is 48 years of age and listed his address as Hazel, Ky.
Frey said Sharp will be eventually returned to the Henry Co. Jail. “He’s in the Obion Co. Jail now. I’m not sure yet if he’ll face charges in Obion County or not.”
On Monday night, Joshua Harris was apprehended in the area of the Tackle Box on Hwy. 79N. Harris, age 40, was in jail on charges including evading arrest, theft of property and burglary.
