McKenzie, Tenn.–Sgt. Johnny Williams has been promoted to Assistant Chief of Security for Bethel University in McKenzie.
Sgt. Williams assumes his new role after the recent retirement of Henry Carter.
Johnny has been with Bethel University for almost 12 years and is a familiar face around the campus. A West Tennessee and Carroll County native, Johnny returned from Texas just prior to joining the department in November 2011. He has 13 years of experience in safety and security and was promoted to Sergeant in 2016 prior to being named Assistant Chief.
