SUSPICIOUS PERSON CALL YIELDS ARREST
Dover, Tenn.–A quick response and a good use of K-9 lands a man in jail for drugs.
On Saturday, July 10th at approximately 1:47 am, Deputy Casey Wilburn responded to a call of a suspicious person at 537 Spring Street which is the location of the Manor House. Upon his arrival he observed a white male subject walking towards Hwy 49. When he attempted to stop the man he fled around the side of the building and out of sight.
Deputy Wilburn chased the subject and apprehended him in the parking lot at the entrance of the Manor House. He observed the subject sweating profusely, talking erratically and extremely hyper. Believing that drugs may be involved he deployed K-9 Rico to the area where the subject had ran. K-9 Rico gave a positive indication and sat down beside a yellow baggie containing a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine. Arrested was Nicholas Hicks. A great job by Deputy Wilburn and K-9 Rico at protecting everyone and getting drugs off the street.
