Registration-day schedules for the 2023-24 school year have been announced for all three Union City Schools.
Students will register at all three campuses on Thursday, Aug. 3.
- Faculty and staff at UC Elementary School will welcome students in Kindergarten along with those in 2nd and 4th grade from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Those entering 1st and 3rd grades will register from 11:30 until 3 p.m. PTO-sponsored spirit wear will be available for purchase.
- Seventh graders at Union City Middle School will register from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Sixth and 8th graders will register from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Students entering the 5th grade will tour the new classroom wing and register at UCMS from 1-3 p.m. Spirit Wear will be on sale from the school’s PTO organization.
- Freshmen will report at 8 a.m. to the Civic Auditorium and run through an abbreviated day’s schedule, with dismissal at 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Sophomores will meet in the gymnasium from 8-9 a.m., with juniors meeting in the gym from 8:30-9:30 a.m. All three classes will have individual school photos made before leaving campus.
- Seniors will meet at 9 a.m. at the school gymnasium. Following the assembly, they will proceed to a designated location for “Tux and Drape” photos. After seniors receive their schedules, they will be free to leave.
The first day of classes for all Union City Schools students is set for Monday, Aug. 7.
Principals Jacob Cross (UCHS) and Lance Morgan (UCMS) have penned attached letters to their students and parents, while UCES Principal Allison Palmer has written to parents of Kindergarten students in another attachment.
