Mrs. Sharon Owens, 70, of Union City, passed away 12:35 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023, at her home.
Sharon was born Sunday, March 1, 1953, in Memphis, to the late Allen Morton and Fannie Jo (Beard) Morton of Zavalla, Texas. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Steve Morton, Michael Morton and Eric Morton; and one sister: Monica Krnavek.
Sharon had a passion for the outdoors which she shared with her father and brothers.
She was a homemaker and earned an Associate of Arts in Medical Billing in Coding from the University of Phoenix.
She married Charles Owens, Sr., Saturday, April 26, 1975. He survives.
She is also survived by five children: Monica (Bryan) Crosser, of Nashville, Chris (Stephanie) Owens, of Branford, Florida, Charlene (Rico) Torres, of Stafford, Virginia, Charles (Charmen) Owens Jr., of Sevierville, and Reidette Hight, of Detroit, Michigan; grandchildren: Micheal White, of Martin, Dakota White, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Bryce Owens, of Nashville, Samantha Hight, of Detroit, Michigan, Charles Owens III, of Sevierville, Chelsey (Zach) Wyatt, of Sevierville, Nicholas Torres, of Stafford, Virginia and Keagen Torres, of Stafford, Virginia; two great-grandchildren: Rhett White, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Sydney White, of Paris; and two sisters: Elizabeth Morton, of Texas and Debbie Anderson and her husband Andy, of Zavalla, Texas.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Shane Long will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
