Paris, Tenn.–The Habitat for Humanity of Paris/Henry County invites the public Saturday, August 5th at 11:00 am to a dedication ceremony of their most recent completed house located at 409 Irvine Street in Paris. Jasmine Allen is the recipient and this will be her family’s new home.

The Habitat for Humanity of Paris/Henry County helps low-income individuals and families build and purchase homes with a zero percent APR interest mortgage rate.  Its mission is to seek to put God’s love in action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Once a year, using many volunteers, a house is built for a qualifying family.  “The program is considered a hand up, not a hand-out” said Linda Frantom, president of the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity.  “The qualifying family partners with Habitat for Humanity by completing at least 400 hours of sweat equity towards the building of their habitat home.”

For more information on volunteering, helping with Habitat, or to donate supplies for the next Habitat house to be built, contact Habitat construction supervisor Hank Rendleman at 731-336-8967.
