Henry, Tenn.–A Henry man escaped serious injury when a lawn mower flipped over on top of him in a creek bed Monday afternoon.
The Henry Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched out to a report of a lawn mower that had flipped over on top of a 70ish year old male.
Henry Fire, along with Henry Police Department, Henry County EMS and Henry County Sheriffs Office responded to the scene at 46 Skunk Hollow Rd to find a mower upside down in a creek bed. The patient was removed by Henry Police and a bystander prior to firefighters’ arrival.
Firefighters removed the mower from the ditch and cleared the scene. The patient was checked out by EMS and released at the scene.
Fire officials said, “We’d like to take a moment and stress the importance of locking in your roll cage (especially when working around any embankment). Seat belts can also change the way these situations turn out.”
