Union City, Tenn.-Dan and Julie Huggins were celebrated as the 2023 Pride of Obion County at last week’s Obion County Fall Fest.
Fall Fest officials said, “It was an absolute HONOR for us, as a board and as a community to celebrate Dan & Julie Huggins as our 2023 Pride of Obion County and the legacy they are leaving here in Obion County. Their story, their life, their ministry, their love for one another, their love for all people, and their work is absolutely beautiful and making a difference for every single citizen in Obion County.”
From Dan & Julie’s acceptance speech:
“You see, this honor isn’t about us… it is about US (motioning to everyone in the room)…it takes the whole body of believers doing their individual part for the body as a whole to work through whatever intersection or ministry someone is introduced to Jesus, when they allow him to change them… other things change…Their lives change, their family changes, their children’s lives are changed. Generational curses are broken…Relationships are healed, addictions are overcome, behavior changes. And when Christ changes lives, people are better citizens, and that is better for all of us as a community.”
