“Operation Witches Brew” Puts Hex On Drug Suspects

Paris, Tenn.–The Paris Police department decided to “trick” some of those in the community that have been providing illegal “treats” to people in Paris and Henry County. 

Named “Operation Witches’ Brew”, officers were out early this morning picking up suspects who were developed over a several months long investigation in the community.  Those who have thus far been arrested in the operation all have been charged with offenses involving either methamphetamine or “crack” cocaine distribution, except for one.  Names of those apprehended so far are:

Michelle Hamby- 1 count sale of Schedule VI narcotic $10,000 bond

Bobby Patton- 1 count sale of Schedule II narcotic (crack) $25,000 bond

Dennis Newberry- 1 count sale of Schedule II narcotic (crack) $25,000 bond

Barton Grande- 2 counts of sale of Schedule II narcotic (meth) $50,000 bond

Antonio Somerville- 2 counts of sale of Schedule II narcotic (meth and crack) $25,000 bond

Rekishia Tharpe- 2 counts of sale of Schedule II narcotic (meth) $25,000 bond

Chief Ricky Watson wants the public to know that there are still defendants yet to be charged as a result of this operation and the Paris Police department will continue to work to make our streets safer for our citizens.
