Paris, Tenn.–With a 28-21 loss to Southwind, the Henry County High School Patriots’ football season came to a close Friday night. Patriot Stadium wasn’t lacking in spirit last night, though, with 400 cowbells given out to people in attendance. The good noise from the stadium could be heard all over.
HCHS officials penned the following message on their Facebook page last night:
“Henry County Football is so much more than just football. As we wind up our year, we are so thankful for …
—our young men who have played their hearts out this year.
—our seniors who have shown remarkable leadership both on and off the field.
—our coaches who love our boys and pour into them daily.
—our community who fills the stands on Friday nights, works the concession stand when called upon, and then talks about our team all through the week when at the grocery store, at church, at restaurants, and more. Not all communities have such a sense of pride, and we are thankful.
—our students…from our Patriot cheerleaders to our Marching Patriots to our Madrigals to our Red Swarm student section, hundreds of HCHS students each week show their Patriot Pride as they cheer on our team. Doing the math, we had approximately 550 involved students grades 9-12 tonight!
THANKS TO ALL who help make Patriot Football THE thing to do on fall Friday nights! Until next year”
