Paris, Tenn.–Despite the bitter cold Wednesday night, some 200 people participated in the annual Downtown Paris Advent Walk. Starting at First Christian Church, the crowd walked from downtown church to church to celebrate Advent. At each stop, prayers and songs were presented. In addition to First Christian, churches involved this year included First United Methodist Church, Quinn African Methodist Episcopal Chapel, First Presbyterian Church, and Grace Episcopal Church. The Harmonix singing group under the direction of Rhonda Stanton also sang. At the last stop, cookies and cocoa will be served at Ketcham Hall at the Grace Church. In photo, Rev. Pam Evans spoke at Grace Episcopal Church. Photo by Marsha Banasiewicz.
