Dover, Tenn.–The staff of Fort Donelson National Battlefield invites the public to step back into 1862 and observe Civil War artillery in action on Saturday, December 9th.
Artillery demonstrations will be conducted at 11 AM, 1 PM and 2PM adjacent to the park Visitor Center, located 120 Fort Donelson Park Road, Dover. All programs are free and open to the public.
The park’s very own volunteer artillery crew will be conducting the live-fire demonstrations on the park’s bronze 6 pounder field gun – one of the most common artillery pieces for both North and South.
