Today’s storms have caused outages to 4,488 Gibson Electric Membership Corporation members’ homes and businesses in north Gibson County, Obion County and Dyer County. Currently we have 3,135 without power and 4 outage trouble spots.
TVA, our power supplier, has one or more transmission lines affected, which is causing outages for us. We also have numerous poles downed or broken in the Rutherford area. Our crews have been working since the outages began at 10:05 AM. We will restore service as quickly as we safely can, but this is likely to be a lengthy outage. We will provide updates as we make progress.
