Dresden, Tenn.–Dresden was hit hard by Saturday’s tornado, but thankfully no injuries have been reported. It’s especially heartbreaking that it happened two years after another tornado devastated the town, which has been in the process of picking itself back up since then.
Dresden Fire Department officials said on their Facebook page, “It’s hard to believe it’s been two years today since our charming town was torn apart by an EF-3 tornado! It’s ironic and heartbreaking that our Southeast side of town was hit yesterday again by another tornado. As we reflect on 2021 today we also keep the ones affected by yesterday storms in your prayers today! If you guys need anything we are here for you all!”
Saturday’s tornadoes tore through our area and Middle Tennessee, killing six people in their wake: six were killed in Clarksville and three in Madison. NWS surveys are to be conducted today to determine how powerful of tornadoes struck our area.
