Michael Kevin “Mike” Harrison, 55, of Palmersville, Tennessee, formerly of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died Monday, December 25, 2023, at his residence.
Mike was born Monday, May 27, 1968, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to the late Roger Harrison and the late Maria Butler Harrison. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother: Johnny C. Harrison.
He worked in industrial maintenance for Jimmy Dean Foods in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Mike was a very accomplished musician and enjoyed playing with his band “Fruit Loop & The Cereal Killers.”
He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved Ford Mustangs.
In the words of his family member, “Mike was the best neighbor, best storyteller, best guitar player, best cornbread maker, best cousin, and even better friend.”
He was Church of Christ by belief.
He is survived by his aunt: Elaine (Bob) Watkins, of Cottage Grove, Tennessee; his cousin: Buck (Leah) Watkins, of Cottage Grove, Tennessee, and family: Alexus (Gavin) Gordon and Barrett Watkins; lifelong friends: Rick Ellis and Daniel White; his extended family, the Rudy family; and many numerous cousins.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tennessee.
The body is to be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
