Calloway County, Ky.–Calloway County Fire & Rescue was able to save two of three apartments as well as the occupants’ belongings at a fire this morning.
This morning at approximately 7:49am Calloway County, KY 911 Communications Center dispatched Calloway County Fire & Resuce to the 10000 block of KY 94 East in the Faxon area for a structure fire. Upon the first units going enroute, dispatch then advised that the structure was a building containing three separate occupied apartments and that all residents were evacuating the structure; they also advised that the fire was also spreading to the neighboring apartment.
The first truck arrived on scene within nine minutes of being dispatched out and began working to extinguish the fire as other trucks started to arrive on scene to assist. It’s because of the quick initial response to this incident that only one of the three apartments were damaged by fire as firefighters were able to get the fire under control before it spread into the rest of the structure.
Murray Calloway Co. Ambulance was called to the scene to check out a couple of the residents for complaints of smoke inhalation and all were cleared. No other injuries were reported.
