Paris, Tenn.–Two suspects are being sought in a late night shooting Wednesday night in Henry County. The victim was transported to Henry County Medical Center where he was treated and released.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a shooting that occurred around 11 p.m. Wednesday at 3030 Hwy 79 North in Paris.

Henry Co. Sheriff’s office patrol officers were at this location to serve an arrest warrant when they noticed broken glass at the back door of the home. The officers were then able to make contact with the persons that lived at the residence who said that that two black males had come to the home and knocked on the door.

When the door was opened by the victim, the suspect asked if a male subject was home, the victim said that the person they were asking about did not live there and the victim closed the door. That is when the suspect began firing a firearm through the door, hitting the victim.

The victim was transported to Henry Co. Medical Center where he was treated and released. It is believed that the shooting occurred just minutes before the patrol officers arrived at the home.

Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident and are asking the public if anyone has any information about this shooting to call Henry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.
