Due to a increased chance of damaging severe weather this evening, the county Storm Shelters are opening at 6pm this evening . NOTICE Harrelson School in Puryear will not be open to the public due to a school event tonight.
Shelters Opening in Paris include:
-Inman School 400 Harrison St (Shelter is building to the left of the main building.
-Rhea School, 115 S. Wilson St (Enter Front Middle of Building)
Henry :
-Henry School Pioneer Rd
Buchanan/Springville:
-Lakewood School 6745 Hwy 79N
Cottage Grove:
-Cottage Grove City Hall (2 shelters behind City Hall)
Severe weather this evening beginning around 7pm though 9pm include 2 in hail, 74mph damaging winds and a possible tornado.
Residents should monitor the weather closely this evening and multiple ways to receive weather warnings.
