Sybil Marie Rahilly

sybil-rayhilly-pic

Sybil Marie Rahilly, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday August 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and dedication. She was born on October 18, 1946, to Walter and Marie Jaeger, who preceded her in death.

On April 4, 1970, Sybil married the love of her life, Donald Rahilly. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, and service to others. Sybil was a devoted wife and partner, supporting Don through his many enterprises and always offering a steady hand and open heart.

Sybil worked diligently to earn her Registered Nursing degree and later continued her education, graduating with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her nursing career spanned different roles throughout the years and she gave of herself both professionally and personally—always ready to lend a hand, an ear, or a word of encouragement.

In addition to her professional work, Sybil was a passionate volunteer. She gave countless hours to her children’s schools, the Archbishop Moeller High School Band, Cincinnati Glory, and other community causes. Her love for service was only matched by her love for her family.

She had many interests—traveling to new places, cooking and baking with joy, and creating beautiful hand-stamped cards to share with those she loved. But nothing brought her more happiness than time spent with her grandchildren. Whether playing games, sharing stories, or simply being present, “Grami” created memories that will be cherished forever.

Sybil is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Rahilly of Paris, TN; her children, Jonathan (Brihanna) Rahilly of Huber Heights, OH, Bethany (Phillip) Break of Paris, TN; and her adored grandchildren: Elliott, Scarlett, Colton, Kayla, Kai, and London. Her family was the center of her world, and her love for them was evident in all she did.

Sybil will be missed terribly by all who knew her. Her warmth, laughter, and unwavering kindness touched many lives and will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to your local high school band program in honor of Sybil—reflecting her lifelong support of music education and community involvement.

May her memory be a blessing to all.
