
Palmersville, Tenn.–Several fire departments responded to an auto body shop fire in Palmersville Saaturday evening. At 8 p.m., the Palmersville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched and responded with five trucks and 16 personnel. They were met by the Dresden Fire Department with one truck and two personnel and the Latham-Dukedom Fire Department with two trucks and seven personnel. Crews worked for nearly 2 hours to fully extinguish the blaze utilizing approximately 18,000 gallons of water, where 10,000 of those gallons being relay pumped from a nearby pond. The shop was a total loss. Palmersville firefighters said, “We would like to thank Dresden Fire Department, Latham Dukedom Volunteer Fire Department, Weakley County EMS, Weakley County Sheriff’s Office, and Weakley County 911 for their support.” (Palmersville FD photo).
