Paris, Tenn.–Cub Scout Pack 28’s scarecrows are on the move this October, popping up at local businesses across Paris spread Fall cheer and collect canned goods for their annual Scouting Out Hunger campaign.
Throughout the month, the scarecrows will make appearances at various community locations, encouraging families and community members to donate nonperishable food items to support local food banks. Each scarecrow stop serves as a fun photo opportunity and a reminder to give back during the fall season.
“These scarecrows have a mischievous way of getting people’s attention,” said Cubmaster Lee McDaniel. “It’s a fun, creative way for our Scouts to get involved and inspire others to support families in our community.”
Community members are encouraged to keep an eye out for the scarecrows, snap a picture when they spot them, and drop off canned goods at participating businesses.
