Paris, Tenn.–Workers have been moving right along with construction of the Levi Miles Inclusive Playground at Ogburn Park in Paris. On Tuesday, workers were pouring concrete on the playground, which will cover 1.32 acres. Designed for children of all abilities, this playground will be a space where everyone feels welcome. It will include wide, accessible pathways, ADA-compliant restrooms, gated perimeter, solar lighting and special features like a zip line and inclusive seating. The design has received a Certificate of Inclusivity from Let Kids Play, making it the only playground in Tennessee with that certification. David and Shayna Miles said they hope to be able to open the park sometime in November. “We aren’t certain on the exact date yet, but hopeful to open before Thanksgiving,” they said.
