marshall-co-fire-truck

Marshall County, Ky.–It was an exciting night–too much excitement, actually–as a semi hauling tanks of freon burst into flames and Interstate 24 westbound was shut down overnight in Marshall County, Ky. Emergency Management Agendy staff responded to a fully engulfed semi fire hauling a trailer full of 25 pound tanks of a freon mix. Officials said it was a hot fire and a lot of tanks blowing up. Luckily it was on the interstate itself and no one was injured.
On scene were Fire Departmens from Gilbertsville, Calvert City, Palma Briensburg, Grand Lakes, West Marshall, and Fairdealing Olive, also Calvert City Police, Marshall County Sheriff’s Dept., Ky. State Police, Radio and Phone traffic from Marshall County Central Dispatch, Ky State EPA, Ky District One Highway Dept., and staff from Marshall County Emergency Management.
