“Let It Glow” Returns: Bigger, Brighter, Better Than Ever

The holiday season officially begins in Union City this weekend as Discovery Park of America turns on more than a million twinkling lights for the grand opening of “Let It Glow.”

The kickoff is set for Friday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m. with a special ceremony featuring performances from the Voices of Union City Elementary School, the Discovery Park Community Choir and the Tuba Quartet from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a special appearance as the entire park counts down to the magical moment when every light across our 50-acre heritage park springs to life.

This year’s show is the most ambitious yet. Guests will discover expanded decorations throughout new areas of the park, a new nativity scene, updated lighting technology and more. The popular drive-thru light tunnel is back, and this year, the excitement extends to a couple of tunnels on the walk-thru, as well.

New pricing options for 2025 make it easier than ever to experience “Let It Glow,” including the addition of season passes for guests who want to visit again and again. Walk-thru admission is $10 for non-member adults, $7 for members, $5 for children aged 4-17 and FREE for children 3 and under. Drive-thru admission is $20 per vehicle for non-members and $10 per vehicle for members. Unlimited season passes are available for $40 for adults and $20 for children 4-17 for the Walk-thru, or $100 per vehicle for the Drive-thru, providing access throughout the entire season. This year, dogs are welcome on the Walk-thru with admission at $5 per dog, as well.

As a thank you to members for their continued support, opening night is free. With this special evening falling so close to Veteran’s Day, veterans and their families will also receive free admission on opening night, as our way to honor those who serve.

“Let It Glow” is sponsored by ATA and McDonald’s.

Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
