Local Banks Unite For ‘Battle Of The Banks’ Blood Drive

blood-van-1

Paris, TN — Lifeline Blood Services is partnering with five local financial institutions for the inaugural Battle of the Banks friendly blood drive competition on Thursday, December 4, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Paris. Participating banks include Carroll Bank & Trust, Commercial Bank, First Bank, Regions, and Security Bank.

This community-wide event invites all eligible donors, ages 16 and up, to give blood and cast their donation in support of their favorite local bank. Each donation counts as a vote, and the bank with the most participation will take home the coveted Battle of the Banks trophy—along with a year’s worth of bragging rights.

All participating donors will receive a t-shirt. Lifeline’s December promotion includes a chance to win a $250 gift card or a 65-inch Smart TV which is open to all- no donation or purchase necessary. See Lifelinebloodserv.org for more information.

“All five banks have strong community roots, but this competition brings out a whole new level of friendly rivalry,” said Melinda Reid, Marketing Manager for Lifeline Blood Services. “Every donation can help save a life, and this event gives everyone a fun way to rally behind their favorite bank while supporting local patients who rely on a safe and steady blood supply.”

Lifeline Blood Services reminds the public that all blood types are needed and donating blood takes about 30 to 45 minutes. One donation can help as many as three local patients.
