Robert Don “Don” Foster, 72, of Springville, Tennessee, passed peacefully on December 29, 2025, in Springville.
Don was born May 20, 1953, in Milan, Tennessee, to the late Robert Foster and the late Frances McClure Foster.
Don lived a life marked by music, faith, family, and laughter. A proud father, Don, leaves behind three daughters, and ten grandchildren who brought endless joy to his life. He served his country honorably in the National Guard and found his lifelong passion in music, playing keyboards in multiple gospel groups. Known for his great smile, deep belly laugh, and a powerful touch on the piano – these were his signatures. Don played keyboards in numerous gospel groups and, as a member of Moore’s Chapel Baptist Church in Greenfield, he filled the sanctuary with music that lifted souls.
Don loved traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains, spending peaceful days at Kentucky Lake, and greeting Pepper, the neighborhood dog, each morning. A faithful Tennessee Vols fan, his enthusiasm was infectious to all who knew him.
Don leaves the following to cherish his memory; his daughters, Fara (Chad) Sudlow of Germantown, TN, Brittney Steele of Nashville, TN, and Alisha (Jason) Beecham of Mansfield, TN; his 10 grandchildren, Kiersten, Kyla, Katie, Conner, Bryson, Cadon, Zeb, Hadleigh, Ava, and Neyland; a sister Jane Ellis of Gleason, TN, and partner Theresa Davison of Springville.
