At approximately 7:25 a.m. firefighters were dispatched to the accident on Henry Midway Road. Due to black ice on the road, the driver lost control and left the roadway colliding with a tree.
Henry Fire responded with four firefighters and its rescue truck. Along with assistance from Paris Fire they were able to get the patient free from the vehicle and into the ambulance.
Firefighters said,”We would like to extend our prayers to the victim and family for a speedy recovery. We would also like to thank all of the personnel who responded and assisted with this incident. Let this be a reminder as the cold settles in and the storm comes to please drive safely if you have to be out on the roads. They will be slick, especially the back roads.
