Paris, Tenn.–A hardy group of family, friends, and officials braved the cold for the swearing-in of new Henry County General Sessions/Juvenile Court Judge Chad Cox Sunday afternoon on the courthouse steps.
He was sworn in by Chancellor Vicki Hoover, with Circuit Court Judge Bruce Griffey, District Judge Brent Bradberry, Carroll County Judge Michael King, and Stewart County Judge Andy Brigham also on hand for the ceremonies.
Prayer was offered by Brother Randy Stephens and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Junior Milam.
A reception was held at the Paris 5&10 Event Center across the street immediately after the swearing-in.
Judge Cox replaces Vicki Snyder, who served as judge for 19 years before her retirement.
